NOTE:  All GOHCA meetings will be held on the 3rd Tues. of each month at Hilltop Arboretum from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

2023 GREATER OAK HILLS CIVIC ASSOCIATION MEETINGS

The meetings are usually scheduled in
Oct. of each year for the upcoming year of GOHCA meetings through Hilltop Arboretum.

no food will be served at this meeting.
It will be a general informational meeting prior to our usual March membership meeting in 2021.

General Summary:  The GOHCA meeting was held on Tues. March 19th at 6:30. There was a large crowd - over 100 members were  on hand to enjoy the wonderful jambalaya dinner, visit with their neighbors and help to decide the business on the agenda.

The speed hump issue, allowing the GOHCA board to pay the $5,000.00 needed, to add to the $2500 raised by the residents of N. Oak Hills Pkwy., to pay half of the total cost of the speed humps that were installed on N. Oak Hills Pkwy.  The vote was taken by ballot - only 1 ballot per lot owner.  There were 44 voting for paying our cost of the speed humps and 38 voted against it.

General Meeting at 6:00 pm at Hilltop
The GOHCA Summer Social was held on Tuesday, July 16th.  The time changed to 6:00 pm at Hilltop Arboretum.  
This was a fun family affair!  A large variety of pizza was available to suit everyone's preference and many flavors of homemade LSU ice cream to help cool down the evening! Bubbles the Clown was there and created wonderful face paintings for the numerous children who attended and balloon art as requested by each child.  A special thanks to Steven Mercier, who brought and set up several outdoor games for children & adults of all ages to enjoy.  We had about 70 adults and about 20 children who attended.  Pictures will be coming later!

Executive Directory of Hilltop Arboretum
Forty-five to fifty residents attended the Nov. General Meeting.  
* Ellen Elias, GOHCA President, called the meeting to order and introduced each person on the agenda.
* Peggy Coates presented a slide presentation of the history of Hilltop Arboretum, and current events and plans for the future.
* Marty Lensing, board member, gave a presentation on the cameras recently placed at one of our entrances and also presented neighborhood crime reports for the 2017-2018, which are posted on the Safety & Security Page.  
* Rodney Underwood, Treasurer, presented the 2020 budget, which was unanimously approved.
* The 2020-2021 GOHCA Directories were handed out to those who attended.  
* Block Captains will be handing out the directories to all residents of the Greater Oak Hills Neighborhood.
