 * To report a crime:
       A.
If the crime already occurred and time is not of an essence, use the 389-5073 (Sheriff's Dispatch
            Center).

B.  If the crime is in progress and you need immediate assistance, use 911.  If in doubt, use 911
             By using
911, your name and address comes up immediately on the computer.

 C.  If you have special problems (an invalid, special needs, deaf or blind residents, etc.) you can
             inform the
911 operator prior to an emergency and those notations can be made on your
"screen" so if, in the future, you call 911, those special circumstances will show up and the
operator can be aware of them and treat it accordingly.

 Neighborhood Alert

As Baton Rouge continues to grow, estimates of 70,000 additional residents will permanently reside in Baton Rouge.  This increase in population calls for all Oak Hills neighbors to become more vigilant.  Please be mindful of any unusual events or unfamiliar people in our community and communicate observations to your neighbors.  Being aware of our surroundings and communication to others will help secure our homes and provide safety to our neighbors.

  •  Please report any suspicious behavior or persons to the police.
  •  To report a crime: Call 911 or Call the Sheriff's Dispatch Center at
    389-5073.
  •  Always keep your doors and windows locked when leaving your home.
  •  Tell your neighbor when you are leaving so they can keep a watch on your house.
  •  Keep your car doors locked and remove personal belongings from your cars.
  •  If you have a security alarm, activate it when leaving your home.
  •  Stop your mail and paper when leaving on a trip or have it picked up daily.
  •  Make sure garbage cans are not left out on the street for days after you leave town.
