Hilltop Arboretum is a 14 acre showcase with an extensive collection of Louisiana native trees and shrubs. It was donated by Emory Smith to LSU and adjoins Oak Hills Subdivision. It is a busy place with plant sales, educational programs, a pavilion for rentals, and a garden, book & nature shop. Join "Friends of Hilltop" and become active in its growth. Hilltop Arboretum Hours: The Arboretum is open to the public free of charge during daylight hours seven days a week.
Tours: Self-guided tour maps are located on the grounds of the Arboretum.

Kids' Lab Weekend Chemistry Program
Second and Fourth Saturdays and Sundays of each month
Sessions are 45 minutes in length. Saturdays at 10:15 AM, 12:00 PM, & 2:00 PM Sundays at 1:30 PM & 3:00 PM
A "Yard of the Month," is awarded during the spring, summer and fall months. Judges for this award are members of the beautification committee and other volunteers. The judging is usually during the 2nd week of the current month. A sign in the winning yard is displayed for the month and the winner is awarded a gift certificate to Harb's Oasis. The winning yards can be seen on the links below.
